cerebralzero asked: >posts pro-IRA stuff >supports gun control. Pick one and only one.
I see your point, but they are two distinct points that don’t necessarily conflict. The 2nd Amendment allows Americans to have guns to protect against an abusive government, as the IRA have protected Ireland from British terrorism (as the American revolutionaries protected the Americans in 1776). That is wholly different than carrying guns into church and school because of insecurity and paranoia. The opposite of gun control means no gun control, and who supports letting criminals have weapons? So, even the NRA supports “gun control” - it is just a matter of degree.
"The opposite of gun control means no gun control"
That is the False Dilemma Fallacy.
You’re treading on Ad Hominem and Strawman argument fallacies with your “paranoia” argument.
Also, mentioning the NRA is a Red Herring as cerebralzero did not bring it up.
That’s 4 logical fallacies, which isn’t an actual argument. Supporting the IRA and gun control is still hypocritical.
Criminals already have weapons… they kinda don’t obey the law and will do whatever it takes to obtain the tools to carry out their crimes. Trust me, they have better weapons than you or I could ever afford to get our hands on.
Funny how many people are for separation of church and state but still want the state to tell churches how to deal with guns.
And what marriage is.
Anonymous asked: Hey, if you're so pro-liberty, I believe you're also for the legalization of gay mariage and weed right? Or do you only agree for liberties and rights that are good for you?
I don’t think you realize that gay marriage really has nothing to do with government and should not be left to some bureaucrat to decide who gets to wed whom. Marriage, by definition, is a religious institution that does not require the approval of government. This is not 14th century Scotland and we do not need some royal’s permission to love another person. Get government out of marriage.
As for marijuana, I’m on the fence. It’s still iffy as to whether it has harmful effects on young people or not, though I am in favor of leaving it up to the states to decide as per the 10th amendment.
So, to summarize, I am pro-freedom to the people and anti-asshole like you. Have a great day. :)
How did we go from being creatures who could over come beasts much stronger than ourselves, using their skin for our clothing, and bones for our weapons. To being so weak that someone calling us a “cunt” a thousand miles away over a computer screen is cause enough to make you harm yourself. What happened?
