Robber Threatens to Kill Shop Owner’s Family During Stickup – He Was Later Pronounced Dead From Single Gunshot Wound
A Newark shop owner shot and killed an armed robbery suspect.
Authorities say 28-year-old Mustafa Sheffield of Newark entered the store Monday afternoon and ordered the owner to fill a backpack with money and gold while threatening to shoot the owner’s family.
Authorities say the shop owner, whose name was not disclosed, brandished his own gun and shot the suspect, who died at a hospital from a single gunshot wound.
No other injuries were reported in the robbery.
“No charges have been filed so far, but authorities say it’s likely that the matter will be reviewed by an Essex County grand jury,” according to the Associated Press.
Unless there is additional evidence not reported by the AP, the incident appears to be a clear-cut case of self-defense.

DICKSQUAD: last-nights-dance: I just wanted to say this, about gun control…If you...
I just wanted to say this, about gun control…
If you want guns to be legal, OKAY, but honestly, you really have no room to speak unless you or someone close to you’s life has been threatened or directly affected by a gun.
Until that has happened to you, educate yourself,…The last house I lived in was located in Los Angeles. To say that the gun control laws in Los Angeles county alone are strict would be an understatement.
One random Saturday night, my friend and I were sitting in the living room at about 2 am watching some crappy girl show he was making me watch. My Mom and Stepfather were upstairs sleeping.
Shots rang out behind our house so my friend and I hit the goddamn deck. We laid there as about 6 to 7 shots were fired. I heard someone running at the side of our house and the clang of metal as the person broke through/vaulted our front gate. It was very quiet after that.I checked my buddy and myself for holes before going upstairs to check on my parent. Luckily we we’re all fine. My mother called the police as I went around and made sure all the doors and windows were locked. After waiting a few hours for the police to get there I went out and looked around. I had nothing more than a wooden practice sword to take with me. That did not feel good, but since it had been 4 or so hours and it had been quiet the whole time I felt fairly sure that it was over.
There on the side that faced the alley behind our house were 5 entry holes. There was also one in our drainage pipe. I went inside to where the holes were and it turns out that they had entered my Stepdad’s office. There were some clear paths of the bullets through a desk and into the adjacent wall.
I dug 4 .45 slugs out of that room. My Stepdad was there in that room working not 1 hour before. THE POLICE NEVER CAME. A few weeks after that I filed a police report and gave them the slugs that I collected as evidence. “You don’t need a gun, call the police” INDEED.
That is about as random an occurrence of gun violence as you can get. GUESS WHAT? Still don’t blame guns for the actions of people. Still like them. Still plan on collecting them and have never once lost my damn logic over the issue. In fact I’m very lucky that it was just someone being chased from the back alley through our property and being shot at and not an actual home invasion as we were basically unarmed.
So yeah. I’m so glad that we in Los Angeles had such strict gun control as to prevent this horrible thing from happening, right? Oh wait.
Open your eyes.

“Let’s ban guns so no criminals can get them!” They said…
Because NOBODY

could EVER make

a gun

and CRIMINALS

always

obey the law.

And PS: You already have to have a background check to buy a gun. Yes that includes at gun shows and on the internet. Learn the facts before you speak out about things.

POLICE CONFISCATE VETERAN’S ANTIQUE GUNS FOLLOWING A VISIT WITH HIS THERAPIST
Arthur Lovi, 72, is in an ongoing legal battle with authorities after his antique guns were confiscated following a controversial session he had with a therapist.
His counselor claims that, during the appointment, he threatened a doctor who, years ago, treated his deceased wife. After the session in question, she called the Arlington Heights police in Illinois to report his controversial comments. While reporting the incident, she also told authorities that she didn’t think it was a viable threat and that he wasn’t a danger to himself or others.
That said, she felt the need to report his statements and to fulfill her duties, the Daily Herald reports.
Nearly a decade ago, the doctor Lovi complained about had falsely diagnosed his wife, Cindy, of having a cold. The next day, at a separate appointment with a different doctor, she was told she had leukemia – a grave diagnosis that the first doctor missed.
After she died weeks later, Lovi couldn’t help but wonder if the extra day that was lost would have made a difference in her chance of survival; he has held negative feelings toward the first doctor ever since.
“I’ll have hard feelings about it until the day I die,” Lovi told the outlet. “Not that a day would make a difference, but maybe it would have. I’ll never know.”

Hey gun-control advocates…
When you buy a gun over the internet it is shipped to a licensed dealer. You go to that dealer and he does a background check on you before he releases the gun to you.
When you buy a gun at a gun show it is more than likely from a licensed dealer. That dealer is mandated by law to do a background check on you.
The myth that gun sales at shows and over the internet don’t require a background check originates from a study done in 1994 that stated criminals got their guns from gun shows.
The problem with that study being cited as a reason for more background checks? It was conducted in 1994 which is before it was mandated by law that all gun sales (minus private transfers) be subject to a background check and before the internet was a even a thing.
Get your facts straight, that particular study just shows you are trying to lie your way through the debate.

Good Grief… California Elementary School Holds Toy Gun Buyback Day
Strobridge Elementary School in Haward California is holding a toy gun buyback today. Kids who turn in their toy guns will be given a chance to win a bicycle. Opposing Views reported Weâve all heard of gun buybacks, but how&Good God California stop it! Kids can’t have fun anymore
California is officially the dumbest state in the union.
What they’re trying to do is make guns a taboo with the new generations. They want to make guns like cigarettes, unpopular and shunned from society.
Screw that.

Back then children were spanked/punished! Now we program them with mind dope and outlaw teenage fun and interaction!
This country traded morals for mind dope! Spanking is abuse? Giving your kid addictive/side effect mind dope isn’t? Your a fucktard!

Incredible but true, you can build your own LEGAL AK47. This one was made out of a rusty old shovel, and a $200 parts kit, total cost $232 shovel included.
There are even “Build an AK47 Parties” as this writer for Mother Jones magazine discovered. SO MUCH for assault weapon bans.
I need to attend one of these parties…
The writer of the Motherjones article says:
“Between you, me, and Johnny Law, here’s what happened to my homemade AK. Back in my garage I use a grinding wheel to cut the receiver in half and the other components into pieces. I put the scraps back in the cardboard box the kit came in and leave it for the garbage truck.”
My question is… why? A gun is only a tool. It can only do what the person holding uses it for. The same is true for a hammer or a wrench.
Is it because he doesn’t trust himself to not do evil with this tool? Or is it that he knows he would soon become a hypocrite because he actually enjoyed shooting his rifle?
Hmmm…

HOMEOWNER TELLS BURGLAR: ‘IF YOU MOVE, YOU’RE GONNA GO TO THE MORGUE’
An Ohio woman held a would-be burglar at gunpoint until police arrived, warning him, “if you move, you’re gonna go to the morgue.”
Tammy Takach of Steubenville was sleeping Thursday morning when a noise in her home woke her up. She told WPXI-TV she grabbed her gun and went downstairs to find an intruder who’dentered through a window holding an air conditioning unit. He begged her not to call the police.
“He stood up and put his hands up,” Takach told WTOV-TV. “He said, ‘I’m just going to go. I’m sorry,’ and I said, ‘The only place you’re going to go is jail, and if you move, you’re gonna go to the morgue, because I’m going to blow your f-ing head off.”
Takach kept the gun aimed at him the entire time until police arrived. Upstairs, Takach’s son was still asleep, completely unaware of what was happening.
Ryan Geary, 23, was arraigned Friday on charges of burglary and possessing criminal tools. If convicted, he could face up to nine years in prison.

D.C. man won’t face gun charges for shooting pit bull attacking boy
Authorities have made an agreement not to prosecute a Northwest D.C. man who used his unregistered handgun to shoot and kill a pit bull in order to stop it from mauling a child in his neighborhood.
Probably won’t get his gun back either.

SENATOR RELEASES AD HITTING BACK AT BLOOMBERG ON GUNS — AND HE’S A DEM
Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) is firing back at New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for targeting him for voting against gun control legislation.
Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns took out a $350,000 ad buy last week to blast Pryor for his “no” vote in April.
“The mayor of New York City is running ads against me because I opposed President Obama’s gun control legislation,” Pryor said in his ad, his first in the 2014 campaign.
He went on to say that the legislation would not have prevented the mass shootings in Newtown, Aurora, Tucson or Jonesboro, Ark.
“I’m committed to finding real solutions to gun violence while protecting our Second Amendment rights,” he said. “I’m Mark Pryor, and I approve this message because no one from New York or Washington tells me what to do.”
