One year ago today the US senate killed the gun control bill

Because we believe that good guys with guns is the best way to stop shootings from happening.

Since then, we had shootings in the Washington Navy Yard and Fort Hood. Two places full of good guys with guns, and people still get killed.

Good job America. Can’t wait for the next big shooting to happen by the end of the year.

This post is garbage

The Washington Navy Yard and Fort Hood are both gun free zones… there were no good guys with guns to stop these shootings. Your argument is flawed.

If I’m reading the law right, it has more to do with the fact that AR uppers can have barrels shorter than 18”. There’s a 16.5” version of the Mini-14 that’s on the restricted list because of its barrel length.
That said, the law has no logic to it other than “shorter barrels are better for murder”. Is a 4” handgun really so much more dangerous than its 4.5” version that it needs to be prohibited? Moreover, does making law-abiding citizens get a license and register most of their guns really impact the criminals who actually murder people? The answer to both questions is no.

Let’s face it: Canada’s gun laws are oppressive, excessive, ineffective, and just plain dumb. It’s time to scrap them.

Gun control has little to do with stopping crime or even guns and everything to do with control. Over you.

My ex-boyfriend is the reason we need gun control laws.

How am I like your ex?

Your ex-bf is part of the reason we have the second amendment.

Anonymous asked: Ronald Reagan supported gun control

Reagan was very ProGun.

Actually he did support gun control. He supported the 1986 Gun Control Act.

The truth about Reagan and gun control is a bit mixed.

Incredible.

Imagine if they had the ability to do the same thing with guns. That is why I oppose so called “smart” guns.
